Inspired by Tennyson's poem, The Lady of Shalott, which was in turn inspired by Arthurian legend. The titular lady was an artist and a weaver. The poem explores the conflict between the need for solitude to create art, and the desire to live out in the world and experience life. Hang this "dead pale" beauty on your wall as a reminder never to give up your artistry.
This piece is cast in cement, with details handpainted in gold. Dried flowers, moss, and gold leaf float in layers of resin. A wire has been set into the back for easy hanging. The back is lined with velvet to protect your walls. This piece is not recomended for outdoor use.
This piece of artwork is made and painted by hand. We think the small irregularities and imperfections of each piece adds to its beauty and uniqueness. Keep in mind that the image pictured is a sample and not the exact item you will receive.
